[DHAKA, Bangladesh] – To foster agriculture sector awareness among young people, particularly those whose families are involved in agriculture and related fields, Alltech Bangladesh is holding its first annual Alltech Art Contest for children across the country.
Inspiring the next generation is a core focus at Alltech, a global leader in animal nutrition and health, said Dr. Aman Sayed, regional director of Alltech South Asia. This annual contest is only one of many ways in which Alltech is inspiring today’s children to be ready for the challenge of feeding 9 billion people by 2050.
In addition to teaching children and honouring their innovative ideas, the contest gives us all an opportunity to see our world through the eyes of a child.
Who can participate?
Students aged between 6 years and 12 years, whose parents are engaged in work related to agriculture and allied fields, can participate in the contest.
When are entries due?
The contest is open from 25 September to 14 October 2016. The last date to submit artwork is 14 October 2016.
What is the theme of the contest?
This year’s theme is “Agriculture and Rural Life.” Subtopics include dairy, poultry, agriculture, aquaculture, shrimp and fish, and “The Family of a Farmer.”
How can entries be submitted?
Send the following, by courier, to Alltech’s Bangladesh office (address below):- the hard copy of the artwork; the completed registration form available at (http://global.alltech.com/bangladesh/news); one passport-size photo and one photocopy of the contest entrant’s school ID card.
When will contest results be announced?
Contest results will be announced on 1 November, 2016.
What prizes will be awarded?
Each of the top 12 winners will be awarded a cash prize of $50 and a certificate, and the winning artwork will be published in the 2017 Alltech Bangladesh calendar.
