IRRI Scientist receive best poster presentation Award

agrilife24.com:Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) organized a 2 day-long (September 29-30, 2016) 5th convention and International Agricultural Conference at Dhaka, Bangladesh. This program was inaugurated by honorable President Md. Abdul Hamid, the people republic of Bangladesh. Different ministers of the people republic of Bangladesh, different donor agencies, representative of different international organization and  institute, national and international researchers, university teachers, senior officials of agricultural activities and extensions, multitude affairs, media executive and other professionals were present there (around more than 5000 participants attended this program).

A total of 126 Abstracts from different agricultural field were submitted under 6 categories and among them 36 articles were select for oral presentation and remaining 90 for poster. The poster entitled “performance of different tillage systems and methods of establishment of Aus rice crop in rice-early maize-mungbean cropping systems in southwest Bangladesh” is selected the best poster under sustainable crop productivity enhancement category. The authors of this article are Md. Latiful Bari, Sharif Ahmed, A.K.M Ferdous and Timothy Russell, from IRRI Bangladesh (Feed The Future Bangladesh Rice Value Chain Project). Md. Latiful Bari (Specialist Postharvest,) and Timothy Russell (Chief of Party, IRRI- Feed The Future Rice Value Chain Project) were received the award (crest) from Honorable Chief Guest Md. Abdul Mannan, Member of Parliament, Bangladesh.
