Agrilife24.com:In a significant initiative aimed at strengthening poultry health, productivity, and disease prevention, The ACME Laboratories Ltd. organized a high-level scientific seminar titled “Poultry Vaccines & Vaccination” at the InterContinental Dhaka on Thursday. The seminar brought together corporate poultry producers, farm owners, veterinarians, industry stakeholders, and investors to discuss the critical role of vaccination in safeguarding Bangladesh’s poultry industry, a key contributor to the country’s economy and food security.
Addressing the challenges posed by infectious diseases, speakers emphasized that disease outbreaks can cause severe economic losses and disrupt the poultry supply chain. They stressed the importance of implementing standardized and effective vaccination programs across all levels of commercial poultry production to ensure sustainable industry growth and resilience.
To bridge the gap between global scientific advancements and local poultry operations, ACME invited renowned international experts to share their knowledge and experience. The distinguished speakers included Professor Hyukjoon Kwon, Poultry Medicine Specialist at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Seoul National University (SNU), South Korea; Jaehoon Kim, CDO, South Korea; Dr. Mohamed Adel, Commercial Director of Vaccine Valley, Egypt; and Dr. Abdelrahman Shahin, Export Manager of Vaccine Valley, Egypt.
During their presentations, the experts highlighted modern vaccination technologies, disease prevention strategies, and practical approaches to improving flock health and farm performance. They underscored the importance of proactive disease prevention and robust biosecurity measures in reducing production risks and enhancing profitability.
Speaking at the seminar, Mohammad Ziauddin, Head of Marketing at ACME, introduced the company’s expanded Poultry Vaccine Portfolio, designed to deliver improved field performance and support higher productivity across the poultry sector. He also highlighted ACME’s technical collaborations with internationally recognized partners, including Green Cross of South Korea and Vaccine Valley of Egypt, aimed at bringing advanced vaccine solutions to the Bangladesh market.
The seminar concluded with closing remarks delivered by Mohammad Ziauddin. The program was moderated by Mukut Das Sharma, Senior Manager, Marketing, while Md. Aftab Ali, NSM, was also present at the event.
Participants, including industry leaders, commercial producers, veterinarians, and policymakers, called for stronger collaboration between scientific partners and industry stakeholders to modernize biosecurity systems and promote preventive healthcare approaches. They emphasized that the adoption of advanced vaccination technologies and science-based disease control measures will be essential for ensuring long-term economic stability, sustainable poultry production, and national food security.
