Agrilife24.com:On Thursday (September) over 250 representatives from across the Bangladeshi Poultry and Egg Industry gathered at Le Méridien Dhaka for the Bangladesh Egg Industry Partnership Summit 2026,  organized by Hendrix Genetics. The event brings together laying hen distributors, egg producers, industry leaders, government representatives, technical experts and international stakeholders to discuss the future of egg production in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh has become one of the most dynamic poultry markets in Asia. Rising demand for affordable, nutritious protein continues to create opportunities for the industry, while also increasing the importance of genetics, rearing quality, biosecurity and efficient production systems.

The summit highlights the value of strong partnerships in supporting the continued development of the Bangladeshi egg sector. By bringing together customers, partners and industry leaders, the event aims to strengthen collaboration, share practical knowledge and support sustainable growth across the poultry value chain.

A Hendrix Genetics delegation is present in Dhaka, including Pelayo Casanovas, Managing Director Layers and Broilers ; Jean-Thomas Courtois, Area Director Layer Asia; Teun van de Braak, Director Global Technical Service and Customer Support; and Rafael Lera, Global Technical & Veterinarian Specialist. Their presence underlines the strategic importance of Bangladesh within the company's global network.

They are welcomed and joined by the local Hendrix Genetics Bangladesh team, led by Md. Mahiuddin, Country Manager Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka and Nepal, and Mehadi Hasan, Technical Service Manager Asia, who work closely with customers across the region. Together, the international and local teams demonstrate Hendrix Genetics' commitment to long term partnership and customer support in Bangladesh.

A key focus of the program will be the role of balanced breeding and long-term genetic progress. Hendrix Genetics continues to invest heavily in it’s breeding programs that combine productivity, egg quality, livability, robustness, and feed efficiency, helping producers achieve strong and reliable performance under a wide range of production conditions. The importance of high-quality rearing will also be discussed throughout the event. By working closely with producers and stakeholders, we can support sustainable growth and help create long term value for the entire sector."
