Kemin Industries Hosts Successful ‘IH Impressions’ Poultry Seminar in Dhaka

Agrilife24.com:Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health successfully hosted its premier knowledge-sharing platform, “IH Impressions,” at Le Méridien Dhaka, bringing together global experts, veterinarians, nutritionists, and poultry professionals to discuss key challenges and practical strategies in poultry intestinal health management.

The event was introduced by Sushanta Dey, Vice President – Marketing, Kemin Industries South Asia Pvt. Ltd., while the entire program was anchored by Dr. Rahul Mittal, Group Product Manager.

The technical sessions featured presentations from a distinguished panel of international poultry experts.

Dr. R. Chanthirasekaran, Regional Director – Technical Services, Kemin South Asia, delivered a presentation titled “Building Resilient Gut Health Programs: Lesion Insights, Immunity and Economics,” highlighting the relationship between intestinal health, immune function, and economic performance in poultry production.

Dr. Hilde Van Meirhaeghe, Global Poultry Specialist, Vetworks, Europe, presented “Simplifying Gut Health Complexities: A Closer Look at Impact Factors and Their Practical Implications,” offering practical insights into the factors influencing gut health and their impact on poultry performance.

Dr. Satyam Sharma, Product Manager – Intestinal Health, Kemin South Asia, shared valuable perspectives in his session, “Beyond Gut Pathogens: Scientific Frameworks for Intestinal Resilience,” focusing on scientific approaches to strengthening intestinal resilience beyond traditional pathogen control.

A key highlight of the seminar was an interactive panel discussion featuring Dr. Venkat M. Shelke, Associate General Manager, Technical Services (Health); Dr. Hilde Van Meirhaeghe; Dr. R. Chanthirasekaran; and Dr. Satyam Sharma. The panelists discussed emerging trends, field-level challenges, sustainable gut health strategies, and the future of intestinal health management in modern poultry production. The session encouraged active participation from attendees, fostering meaningful dialogue between experts and industry stakeholders.

The event was attended by representatives from across the poultry value chain, including Dr. Venkat M. Shelke, Associate General Manager, Technical Services (Health); Sharat Chadra, Finance Director; Mr. Fayzur Rahman, Managing Director of Avance Asia Ltd., Mr. Anwar Hossain, CEO, Sigma Bangladesh, among other distinguished guests and industry leaders.

Participants engaged in insightful discussions aimed at improving poultry health, productivity, and sustainability across the region.

The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Muhammad Gulam Murshed, Associate General Manager, followed by an exclusive gala dinner for attendees.
