Agrilife24.com: The award ceremony for the Agricultural Olympiad 2024 took place at the Bishwo Shahitto Kendro auditorium in Banglamotor, Dhaka, on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 5:00 pm. Organized with the support of the youth-led organization Agreen Foundation, the event highlighted achievements in agricultural innovation and education.
Moinul Islam, Joint Secretary of the NGO Bureau at the Chief Advisor's Office, attended as the chief guest. Special guests included Ashok Kumar Roy, Deputy Secretary of the ICT Division, and Dr. Abid Chowdhury, Co-Founder and Chief Scientist of Genofax Life Sciences and Chairman of Krishan Foundation.
In the ceremony, 25 participants from junior, secondary, and higher secondary categories received awards, recognizing the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and runner-up positions in each special category. This Olympiad, centered on the theme "Shaping a Sustainable Bangladesh through Youth-Led Tech-Savvy Leadership," emphasizes food security and nutritional prosperity through modern agricultural practices. It resonated with approximately 5,500 students from 20 schools and colleges in Dhaka, with activities held from February to June 2024.
GAIN and Bangladesh Brand Forum served as the Strategic Partner and Ra'dia Inc. as the Communications Partner. The BASEF Foundation joined as a Co-partner, contributing to the event's overall success and mission of fostering a technologically empowered, sustainable future for Bangladesh.
