Agrilife24.com:Bangladesh’s feed industry made a strong impact at the U.S. Corn and Sorghum Harvest Quality Report Rollout Conference 2026, held in Colombo on 12–13 January 2026 under the Farm to Feed initiative and supported by the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council (USGBC). The regional event brought together feed manufacturers, poultry and livestock integrators, ingredient traders, nutrition experts, and U.S. exporters to share science-based insights on U.S. corn, sorghum, and related coproducts for South Asian markets.
A 20-member delegation from Bangladesh participated in the conference, representing leading feed mills, integrators, and feed ingredient importers. Their active engagement highlighted Bangladesh’s growing importance as a key feed-consuming market and its increasing focus on quality consistency, nutritional performance, and supply reliability.
Technical presentations covered findings from the U.S. Corn and Sorghum Harvest Quality Reports, emphasizing grading standards, quality uniformity, and comparative performance against other origins. Sessions on sorghum as an alternative energy source and DDGS as a cost-effective feed ingredient drew particular interest from Bangladeshi participants seeking efficient and diversified feed formulations.
The conference also facilitated direct business discussions between Bangladeshi buyers and U.S. exporters on demand outlook, pricing trends, quality specifications, and trial shipment opportunities.
The event was attended by Ms. Erin Covert, Agricultural Attaché, and Mr. Tanvir Ahmed, Agricultural Specialist, representing the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service in Bangladesh.
