Agrilife24.com:Furry Friends Foundation has taken a special initiative to promote stray animal welfare and protect public health. Starting Saturday, February 7, the foundation will officially begin operations of its first CNVR (Catch–Neuter–Vaccinate–Return) unit. Through this unit, stray dogs in Dhaka city and surrounding areas will undergo neutering, vaccination, and annual immunization programs. This initiative is expected to play a significant role in controlling the dog population.

According to the foundation’s plan, the CNVR unit has set a target of carrying out spay–neuter procedures for approximately 600 dogs per month. The entire operation will be conducted in an area-based and well-organized manner.

To ensure the health and safety of the dogs, the center has separate entry points to prevent cross-infection, along with a dedicated isolation unit for newly admitted dogs. The facility is equipped with an advanced ventilation system, easy-to-clean epoxy resin flooring, and an automatic drainage system, all of which help maintain a hygienic environment.

Chairperson of Furry Friends Foundation, Tasneem Sinha, stated that the core objective of this project is not only population control, but also ensuring the health and well-being of stray animals and making their coexistence with humans safer.

It is worth noting that Furry Friends Foundation is a service-oriented, volunteer-based organization that has been working tirelessly for the welfare of helpless stray animals for a long time. To ensure a healthy and safe life for stray animals, the organization regularly provides free vaccination, spay/neuter services, and other necessary medical care.
