Agribusiness desk:The Agro-Processing Global Gateway 2026 - Regional Edition (APGG 2026), organized by CEMS-Global Bangladesh in collaboration with BYETS Project, Swisscontact Bangladesh and supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, has concluded successfully across three key regions of Bangladesh.

The program has been concluded with the aspiration of exporting agricultural produce and processed food items worth millions of dollars. Buyers from India, Sri Lanka and France has participated at the program.

Unlike traditional exhibitions, APGG 2026 was designed as a targeted trade facilitation platform to connect Bangladeshi agro producers and processors directly with international buyers, enabling export readiness, compliance exposure, and long-term business partnerships.

The program was held in three regional hubs:

The initiative brought together a diverse group of participants including GAP-certified farmers, agro-processing industries, frozen food exporters, and jute product manufacturers. In total, over 100 producers and exporters engaged in curated B2B meetings, factory visits, and compliance-focused discussions with international buyers from France, India, and Sri Lanka.

Key outcomes of the program include:

The program also facilitated direct engagement between farmers, exporters, international buyers, and government officials, including agricultural and quarantine authorities. These interactions strengthened buyer confidence by providing insights into Bangladesh’s compliance and certification processes.

Institutional support from leading trade and agricultural bodies further reinforced the initiative’s impact, helping align local producers with global market requirements.

CEMS-Global Bangladesh noted that APGG 2026 marks a shift from event-based promotion to a results-driven trade facilitation model. Building on this success, the next edition is planned for October 2026 with expanded international participation and enhanced market linkage opportunities.

APGG 2026 is poised to become a flagship platform for integrating Bangladesh’s agro-processing sector into global value chains.
