
Agrilife24.com: A day-long free medical camp was successfully held at Fatehnagar Sharifunnisa–Nazir Uddin High School in Chandanaish on 18 April (Saaturday). The initiative was organized by the Lions Club of Chittagong Dynamic City with the overall support of the Salma Adil Foundation (SAF).
The camp delivered a wide range of healthcare services to the local community. A total of 650 beneficiaries received eye examinations, 300 individuals underwent blood group testing, and 360 people were screened for diabetes and provided with medical advice. Additionally, 160 patients were given prescription eyeglasses.
Following detailed medical assessments, 85 beneficiaries were referred to Chattogram Lions Eye Hospital for free cataract surgeries.
Last Saturday, the program was inaugurated by District Governor Lion Mosleh Uddin Opu, PMJF. Among the distinguished guests were IPDG Lion Kohinur Kamal, MJF; First Vice District Governor Lion Kamruzzaman Liton, MJF; Second Vice District Governor Lion Abu Bakkar Siddiqui, PMJF; Lady Governor Lion Shirin Akter Kashfi; GST Lion Morshedul Haque Rubel; Vision Chairperson Lion Afroza Begum; Club President Lion Pulin Chandra Gharami; SAF Founder Lion Salma Adil; Lion Mostafa Kamal; Lion Ashikul Alam; Lion Monjur Alam; Advocate Lion Mokhlesur Rahman; and Club Advisor of Dynamic City Lion Shawkat Chowdhury.
His Excellency Ziauddin Adil, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Congo, also visited the camp and observed the ongoing activities.
Speaking on the occasion, the District Governor emphasized that Lions Clubs around the world carry out humanitarian initiatives through self-funded efforts. He expressed his gratitude to the SAF for its support in extending Lions services to remote communities through Dynamic City and confirmed that over a hundred identified patients would receive free cataract surgery.
The attending guests commended the well-coordinated efforts of the Lions Club, Leo Club, and SAF in reaching underserved areas of Chandanaish and expressed hope that such impactful humanitarian initiatives will continue in the future.
