Staff Correspondent, Dhaka: In a move toward a more sustainable and antibiotic-free future for Bangladesh’s poultry sector, a high-level scientific seminar was held on Saturday, May 09, 2026, at the Le Méridien Hotel, Dhaka. The event focused on BOSCOX, a 100% natural botanical breakthrough developed by Guangzhou Haicheng Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., which offers a high-efficiency alternative to traditional chemical coccidiostats.
Organised in collaboration with DAB Agrovet BD Ltd., the seminar addressed the urgent need for solutions that combat Eimeria species without the risks of drug residues or the growing challenge of antimicrobial resistance.
The technical briefing highlighted the unique dual-action mechanism of BOSCOX, where active ingredients like Terminalia gallic acid and Costunolide inhibit the DHODH enzyme, effectively halting parasite replication across all major chicken Eimeria species. With an impressive Anticoccidial Index (ACI) of ≥ 190, BOSCOX is classified as “highly effective,” providing clinical-grade results while supporting gut repair and reducing necrotic enteritis. This makes it an ideal candidate for rotation programs, particularly for producers aiming to meet “no-antibiotic-ever” (NAE) standards.
Among the distinguished speakers were Md. Kamruzzaman Kyum, Kbd. Khondokar Nabiul Islam, Prof. Nanshan Qi (Allen), Vincent and Debbie Zhao.
Joining them was Debbie Zhao, who highlighted the global effort to bring these advanced phytogenic solutions to the local market.
The seminar was graced by prominent industry leaders whose presence underscored the regional commitment to modernizing poultry management. Key attendees included Md. Kamruzzaman Kyum and Nabiul Islam, both of whom represented significant agricultural leadership in the country.
The seminar was moderated and presented by Kbd. Kassfia Hossain.
By integrating such science-based botanical tools, the seminar provided poultry professionals with a practical roadmap to achieve zero-residue production while maintaining high productivity and animal welfare.
