Enzymes Key to Slashing Feed Costs and Boosting Poultry Profits, Experts Say

Speaking at a high-profile seminar titled "Seminar on Maximizing Profitability in Poultry Production through Exogenous Enzymes" held on Monday (20 July) at the Celebration Hall of Dhaka Regency Hotel & Resort, speakers highlighted that feed accounts for 70 to 75 percent of total poultry farm management expenses. To help farmers remain profitable while supplying safe animal protein to the masses, integrating advanced enzyme technologies into feed manufacturing has become an absolute necessity.
The event, jointly organized by AVON Animal Health and Dovoy, brought together leading global and local minds to address immediate industry challenges.
Keynote speakers included Dr. Theerawit Poeikhampha, an Associate Professor from the Department of Animal Science, Kasetsart University, Bangkok, and Duttle Bing, General Manager ASPAC and EMEA at Dovoy Animal Health. They shared data-backed insights on how enzymes optimize feed conversion ratios.
A technical session titled "Functions of Enzymes to Optimize Feed Utilization" was conducted by Mr. Anand Singh, BU Head-DAH, and Dr. Sumit Raja, Technical Manager-DAH. They explained the mechanisms through which enzymes unlock nutrients from feed ingredients, improve digestion, and help producers achieve greater efficiency in poultry production.
