The initiative was aimed at sustainably strengthening the supply of high-quality SASSO parent stock in Bangladesh and supporting the long-term growth of the poultry sector through advanced genetics, modern breeding technology, and improved production efficiency.

The event was attended by distinguished guests and industry leaders including Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, Adviser to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh for the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Planning, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh; Kazi Zahin Hasan, Director, Kazi Farms; Kazi Zahedul Hasan, Managing Director, Kazi Farms; Laurent Salles, General Manager, SASSO, Hendrix Genetics; Edouard Perrault, Global Sales Director, Hendrix Genetics; Md. Mahiuddin, Country Manager, Hendrix Genetics; and Dr. Ali Haider, Technical Manager, SASSO, Hendrix Genetics.

Speakers at the seminar said Bangladesh had become one of the most dynamic markets for slow-growing, coloured, premium-quality chicken, where SASSO currently maintained a leading market position. They noted that the newly launched GP project would improve product availability, ensure faster customer support, strengthen local supply chains, and maintain the highest standards of genetics, quality, and biosecurity. The collaboration was also expected to reduce dependence on imported parent stock and contribute significantly to the sustainable development of the country’s poultry industry.

During the technical sessions, Laurent Salles delivered a presentation on the global strategic development of Hendrix Genetics and SASSO, highlighting the company’s commitment to sustainable poultry production and long-term investment in Bangladesh. Edouard Perrault presented sessions titled “How We Select High Performing Birds in Challenging Environments” and “SASSO Product Performance & Field Results,” where he explained the importance of genetic selection, adaptability, productivity, and field-level performance in commercial poultry farming. Md. Mahiuddin and Dr. Ali Haider also shared practical technical experiences and field-level insights regarding poultry management, customer support, farm productivity, and farmer development activities in Bangladesh.

The seminar highlighted that the partnership between SASSO Hendrix Genetics Group and Kazi Farms had been built on more than 18 years of successful collaboration based on trust, shared values, quality, sustainability, and performance. Industry experts observed that Kazi Farms possessed strong industrial expertise, extensive local market knowledge, and internationally compliant production facilities, making the company a suitable strategic partner for such an important investment in Bangladesh’s poultry sector.

The event also announced the establishment of a local subsidiary named “SASSO Bangladesh,” aimed at providing enhanced technical, commercial, and strategic support directly to poultry farmers and business partners across the country. Speakers expressed optimism that the partnership would create long-term value for the Bangladeshi poultry industry by facilitating technology transfer, improving farm productivity, strengthening food security, generating employment opportunities, and ensuring sustainable poultry production nationwide.
