Agrilife24.com: Poverty is a global problem and more than 8 million people in low middle income countries (LMICs) die from conditions that should be treatable by the health system. Poor-quality health care is now one of the barriers for reducing mortality than other access issues. Rural development and urbanization is not only the improvement of the economy and well-being of people. So, the theme of the conference has been selected as "Transformation of Poverty Through Improvement of Health and Innovative Utilization of Bio-resources".
This information came out in the inaugural session of the 23rd International Biennial Conference and AGM-2023. Which was held today (26 April) Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban, University of Dhaka. Conference organized by Zoological Society of Bangladesh.
People's Republic of Bangladesh was present as the Chief Guest. Begum Shamsun Nahar MP, Hon'ble State Minister, Ministry of Education; Mr. Md. Amir Hossain Chowdhury, Chief Conservator of Forests, Bangladesh Forest Department; Mr. Sayed Md. Alamgir, Director General, Department of Fisheries, Bangladesh; Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mostafa Feeroz, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Jahangirnagar University and Dr. F.H. Ansarey, President, ACI Agribusinesses were present as special guest.
The keynote speech on the conference theme will be delivered by Prof. Dr. Sayed Abdul Hamid, Institute of Health Economy, University of Dhaka.
The inaugural session was presided over by Prof. Dr. Sitesh Chandra Bachar, Hon'ble Pro-Vice-Chancellor, University of Dhaka.
Prof. Dr. Hamida Khanum President Zoological Society of Bangladesh, Prof. Dr. M. Lokman Hossain General Secretary Zoological Society of Bangladesh and Prof. Dr. Shefali Begum Coordinator 23rd International Biennial Conference and AGM-2023 Zoological Society of Bangladesh were also present at the event.
