Agrilife24.com:July Uprising Day 2026 was celebrated today at Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) with due dignity and various arrangements.
In the morning, BARI Director General Dr. Md. Manjurul Kadir led a rally with the participation of all scientists, officials, employees and workers to lay wreaths at the July Martyr Memorial Monument.
BARI's Director (Training and Communication) Dr. Reshma Sultana; Director (Research) Dr. Faruk Ahmed; Director (Horticulture Research Center) Dr. Kawsar Uddin Ahmed; Director (Kandal Crop Research Center) Dr. Nirmal Kumar Dutta; Director (Planning and Evaluation) Dr. Habib Mohammad Naser; Director (Service and Supply) Dr. Md. Mosharraf Hossain Molla. In addition, scientists, officials, employees and workers of various levels of different centers/departments of Bari were present.
During this time, special prayers were offered for the forgiveness of the departed souls of the martyrs of the July Uprising, the good health of the July fighters and the peace, prosperity and progress of the nation. Additionally, a light exhibition titled "Bloody July" was held at the BARI headquarters.
Later, after Zuhr, special prayers were offered at the central mosque of Bari for the peace, progress of the nation, the forgiveness of the departed souls of the July martyrs and the good health of the July fighters and in the evening, special prayers were offered at temples and churches.
