এগ্রিলাইফ প্রতিবেদক:বাংলাদেশের মৎস্যখাতে সাম্প্রতিক বছরগুলোতে ভাইরাল রোগের প্রাদুর্ভাব উদ্বেগজনক হারে বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছে। পুষ্টিবিদ সাইফি নাসির সতর্ক করে বলেন, এই প্রবণতা দেশের অ্যাকোয়াকালচার শিল্পের জন্য একটি গুরুতর অশনিসংকেত। আগে সাধারণত অক্টোবরের শেষভাগ এবং মার্চের শুরুর দিকে মাছের ভাইরাল রোগের লক্ষণ বেশি দেখা যেত। বিশেষ করে পাংগাস, তেলাপিয়া, শিং ও রুই জাতীয় মাছগুলোতে এ সময় সংক্রমণ বৃদ্ধি পেত। কিন্তু গত কয়েক বছরের পর্যবেক্ষণে দেখা যাচ্ছে, জুন, জুলাই ও আগস্ট মাসেও ভাইরাল রোগের লক্ষণ দেখা দিচ্ছে। ফলে এখন প্রায় সারাবছরই খামারিদের ভাইরাল সংক্রমণের ঝুঁকি মোকাবিলা করতে হচ্ছে এবং ব্যাপক অর্থনৈতিক ক্ষতির সম্মুখীন হতে হচ্ছে।
