BSA Successfully Hosts Its 24th Annual Conference on Agronomic Innovations

Agrilife24.com:The Bangladesh Society of Agronomy (BSA), one of the country’s largest professional organizations in the agricultural sciences, successfully organized its 24th Annual Conference titled “Risk to Resilience: Agronomic Innovations for Sustainable Agriculture” on Saturday, 29 November 2025, at the Teachers-Students Center (TSC) of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka.

The Inaugural Session was graced by distinguished Guests, including Prof. Dr. S. M. Rezaul Karim, Vice Chancellor of ASA University Bangladesh; Dr. Md. Abdus Salam, Executive Chairman (Routine Charge) of the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council; Dr. Mohammad Khalequzzaman, Director General of BRRI; Dr. Md. Mahfuz Bazzaz, Director General (Routine Charge) of the Bangladesh Wheat and Maize Research Institute; and Dr. Mohammed Zainul Abedin, Former Representative of IRRI in Bangladesh.

The conference highlighted the importance of innovative agronomic practices in building a resilient and sustainable agricultural sector.

Dr. Md. Abul Khayer Mian, Vice President of BSA, delivered the Vote of Thanks, while the Concluding Remarks were presented by Professor Dr. A.K.M. Ruhul Amin, President of the Bangladesh Society of Agronomy, marking the successful completion of the event.

Approximately four hundred participants including teachers from various agricultural universities across the country, scientists and researchers from different research institutions, and government and non-government organizations BSA members took part in the conference.
