Nahid Bin Rafiq (Barishal): Agricultural Cinema Screened in Barishal. On this occasion, on Wednesday (December 11), a quiz competition was organized in the hall room of Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) of Babuganj Upazila in Barishal district under the initiative of Agriculture Information Service (AIS). Md. Saidur Rahman, the Principal of ATI, inaugurated the program as the chief guest. Md.Shahadat Hossain, Regional Agricultural Information Officer, was presided over the program. Hera Lal Nath, Barishal Field Office manager of CIMMYT-Bangladesh was the special guest at the movie screening held in collaboration with USAID and CIMMYT- Bangladesh's CSISA-MEA project.
Spoke at the event, Nahid Bin Rafiq, Agriculture Information Service Officer, among others, Md. Shahidul Islam, Additional Deputy Director, DAE, Mohammad Shahidul Islam, Research & Development Coordinator, CIMMYT-Bangladesh,
Agricultural Diploma student Ramisha Rahman Ankhi, Md. Kamrul Islam and others. Later 8 quiz winners were awarded. Winners were Ahmed Risan of 6th Semester, Sethu Samaddar of 4th Semester, Dola Akhter of 6th Semester, Nithun Hawaladar of 2nd Semester, Sadia Afrin of 6th Semester, Sandeepan Samaddar of 6th semester, Sumaiya Afrin of 6th semester and Pradeep Roy of 6th semester. More than 150 students participated in the event.
The chief guest said that film screening is an important medium for the expansion of agricultural technology. In this case hearing and seeing happen simultaneously.
