কৃষিবিদ মোহাম্মদ জাকির হাসনাৎ, পিএইচডি ফেলো, শেকৃবি: বাংলাদেশে ধান উৎপাদনের তিনটি মৌসুমের মধ্যে আমন মৌসুম সবচেয়ে বড়। বর্তমানে আমন মৌসুমের কাজ শুরু হয়ে গেছে। তাই সময়মতো মানসম্পন্ন বীজ সংগ্রহ ও আদর্শ বীজতলা প্রস্তুত করার মাধ্যমে অধিক ফলন নিশ্চিত করা সম্ভব। গবেষণায় দেখা গেছে, কেবল ভালো বীজ ব্যবহারের মাধ্যমেই শতকরা ১৫-২০ ভাগ ফলন বৃদ্ধি করা যায়।
