Huawei Announces ‘Seeds For The Future Bangladesh’ Winners

 

Agrilife24.com: After three months of rigorous screening, training, and assessment, Huawei has declared winners of ‘Seeds For The Future 2025, Bangladesh’. The announcement has come at an event in Huawei South Asia Headquarters, Dhaka, where the eight winners received their crest and certificates. They will be visiting China soon for further trainings and competitions.

This year, through screening of around 3,000 resumes of applicants, 60 candidates were invited to the bootcamp, which was fully equipped with trainings on diversified matters like business development, cloud computing, digital power, 5G, and AI. In this first phase of the bootcamp, their knowledge, skills & analytical capabilities were assessed through written exam, presentation and team works after the completion of training.

After that assessment, 21 candidates were selected for the final round where they received further guidance by the internal and external trainers. Finally, they had to design their own business proposals that would have a greater socio-economic impact with the power of ICT. Based on those group presentations, invited academics, members from UNESCO, Seeds for the Future alumni, and Huawei experts assessed their individual performance and selected the top eight winners.

The winners are Syed Atif Ryhan, American International University – Bangladesh; Farisa Zaynah Zaman, North South University; Nafim Karim Khan, BRAC University; Md. Rezwan Ullah, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Tasnia Iffat, University of Dhaka; Md Safius Sifat, Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET); Nufsat Farooque and Wasif Uddin from Islamic University of Technology.

Lin Hai, Vice President and Director of the Board, Huawei South Asia, commenced the event by delivering the opening speech. Dr. Susan Vize, Head of Office and UNESCO Representative to Bangladesh, joined the program as the Chief Gues as UNESCO is the strategic partner of this competition in Bangladesh.

Commenting on the competition, Lin Hai said, “Seeds For The Future is reaching new heights in Bangladesh each year by empowering more ICT talents. This initiative underscores Huawei’s ‘In Bangladesh, For Bangladesh’ vision, reflecting its firm commitment to supporting the country in building a robust ICT ecosystem through advanced technology and talent development. Our Seeds For The Future program is eventually a long-term investment for ICT talent development. We congratulate the winners and believe that the valuable lessons learnt from this competition will help them contribute to Bangladesh’s digital advancement.”

The program has made a remarkable global impact, with participation from 141 countries and over 18,000 students directly benefiting from its initiatives. Additionally, it has established 500+ collaborations with leading universities and colleges across the globe. Since its inception in Bangladesh in 2014, Huawei has arranged ‘Seeds for the Future’ in Bangladesh for the 12th time this year. This program has provided valuable opportunities for the youth of this country, offering exposure to state-of-the-art technologies and insights from industry experts.
