Staff correspondent: Renata PLC and Vaxxinova jointly organized a special scientific seminar titled ‘'Vaxxiknowledge-2025". on Monday evening (13 January) at Le Meridien Hotel, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The theme of the seminar was “Sharing Solutions Advancing Poultry Health.” The primary objective of this seminar is to address the challenges in managing Avian Influenza (H9N2), Newcastle Disease (ND), Infectious Bronchitis (IB) and Mycoplasmosis (MG) as well as the latest advancements in combating these diseases.
Mr. Sirajul Hoque Director, Animal Health Division, Renata PLC thanked everyone for attending the event and delivered the welcome address. He addressed Renata PLC is one of the largest and fastest growing pharmaceutical companies in Bangladesh. One of their core businesses is animal health products. In the field of animal health, they have been the undisputed market leader in Bangladesh for the past 30 years. Renata Animal Health Division is marketing poultry vaccines manufactured by Vaxxinova.
Mr. Calvin Tan, Regional Manager,Vaxxinova Asia Pacific said that Vaxxinova is a global leader in animal health and poultry vaccines. Vaxxinova is part of the family-owned EW Group and is committed to disease prevention in production animals.
In the event, experts discussed the following topics in detail
- “Poultry vaccine trend and Vaxxinova vision” was addressed by Mr. Julien Gros, Sales Director, International Zone.
- “Respiratory shield against IB, ND and H9N2 LPAI” briefed by Dr. Ludio Gomes, Technical Manager, Vaxxinova Asia Pacific.
- “Critical points on Mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) control” was presented by Dr. Husam Bakri, Technical Manager and Lab Director-MENA and finally
- “Investigation of efficacy and safety of VAXXON AVIFLU and VAXXON ND-FLU in clinical trial.” Was addressed by Prof. Dr. Rokshana Parvin, Department of Pathology, Bangladesh Agricultural University.
Finally, Mr. Sirajul Hoque expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to everyone for coming to the event. He said that this program was successful due to their spontaneous participation.
About 120 guests including veterinarian, nutritionists, technical professionals involved in the poultry industry participated in the event. Dr. Md. Zahid Hossain, country representative of Vaxxinova Bangladesh, senior officers of Renata were present on the occasion.
